Cadence Brace and Matthew Overvelde crowned U12 outdoor national champions

The U12 Outdoor Rogers Junior Nationals wrapped up over the weekend in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec with the crowning of new national champions.

Cadence Brace and Matthew Overvelde, both of Ontario, were the singles winners of this year’s event while Stewart Bernard Aronson of B.C. and Ontario’s Kayla Alexandra Cross finished third.

Brace defeated Victoria Mboko 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 in a battle between the top two seeds in the girls’ singles final while Overvelde was a 6-3, 6-4 winner over top seed Stefan Simeunovic in the boys’ title match.
