The Experience of a Lifetime

The Canadian University Tennis Championships is an annual event held in conjunction with the Rogers Cup or Coupe Rogers presented by National Bank. Each year, the location of the Canadian University Tennis Championships alternates cities between Toronto and Montreal. The chance to play in an event of this caliber provides memorable experiences for all participants. Not only do players receive first class treatment, they are offered a variety of additional benefits. Participants of the Canadian University Tennis Championships:

  • Have the opportunity to play matches onsite during the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank alongside the world’s tennis stars
  • Represent your school while competing against other top universities from across Canada
  • Receive complementary grounds passes for the week as well as a ticket to an evening session of tennis
  • Have the opportunity to win a national title for the university

To Qualify

The qualifying format for the Canadian University Tennis Championships is as follows:

  1. Regional competitions are held in the Ontario, Quebec, Western, and Atlantic regions. The top team from each region will earn a spot to compete at the Canadian University Tennis Championships*.
  2. The Atlantic region consists of universities located in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland; the West region presently consists of universities located in British Columbia and Alberta.
  3. Each student must be enrolled in a full-time university program and be between age 18 to 28 at the beginning of the school year. All schools must submit a roster in order of merit of all eligible players signed by the athletic department.
  4. Four Male and four Female teams (with a minimum of six men and six women respectively) will earn the right to represent their region in the Championships hosted by Tennis Canada. There is a separate competition for men and women, however, universities can compete in both divisions should they meet the aforementioned qualification standards.
