The trio is set to take part in the celebrity mixed doubles portion of the event on November 16 in Toronto

Toronto, November 6, 2012 – Lagardere Unlimited and Tennis Canada announced Tuesday that George Stroumboulopoulos, Adrian Grenier and Bachelor star Brad Smith will be among the group of stars slated to participate in the celebrity mixed doubles portion of the “Sport Chek Face-Off” event on November 16. Grenier and Smith will join Canada’s No. 1 singles player Milos Raonic, former world No. 1 Andy Roddick, 15-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams and world No. 4 Agniezska Radwanska for the tennis showcase which will take place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

A broadcast veteran in television and radio, Stroumboulopoulos has earned a reputation for being a world-class interviewer and is one of the most respected broadcasters in Canada. A multiple award-winner, he has won the Gemini Award for best host/interviewer in a talk series for six consecutive years, and four more for best talk series in Canada. Grenier is best known for his leading role as Vincent Chase on the HBO hit series “Entourage” which concluded its run last year after eight seasons. In addition to acting, Grenier is also a writer, director and producer. His latest documentary “How to Make Money Selling Drugs” directed by Matthew Cook, premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and is being distributed by Tribeca Films. Grenier is also the co-founder of, wreckroom Records and  a beer company called Churchkey Can Co.

Smith is the first Canadian bachelor seeking true love in the original romantic reality series. Currently a free agent with the CFL, the 28-year-old has lived out his childhood dreams on the football field enjoying a successful career from 2007 to 2011 as a wide receiver with the Montreal Alouettes (2007), Toronto Argonauts (2007-2009) and Edmonton Eskimos (2010-2011).

The format for the evening is scheduled to consist of three components. Celebrity mixed doubles featuring all event participants will kick-off the evening at 7 p.m. It will be followed at 8 p.m. by a women’s singles match between Radwanska and Williams – a rematch of the 2012 Wimbledon final. The main event will commence at 9 p.m. with a showdown between Roddick and Raonic, two of tennis’ biggest hitters. The evening will be complemented with music and fan-interactive components emceed by Wayne Bryan, father of the Bryan Brothers (world’s No. 1 doubles team).  Gates will open at 6 p.m. at the Air Canada Centre with an autograph session by the players (format and order of play subject to change).
