Sock upsets Raonic in Memphis
Fresh off his third consecutive title at the SAP Open this weekend, Milos Raonic (Thornhill, ON) was upset in the opening round of the U.S. National Tennis Championships on Wednesday night, an ATP 500 indoor hard court event in Memphis, Tennessee.
Raonic was defeated 6-3, 5-7, 7-5 by American wildcard Jack Sock. The 22-year-old Canadian struggled with his break point opportunities, converting just 1 of 9 chances while Sock was successful on 2 of his three break points.
Raonic had reached the final in Memphis each of the last two years.
