Marcia Ellen Jackson


Marcia Ellen Jackson graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in political science and has practised law for the past 35 years. She is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Saskatchewan, province in which she resides.

Since 2004, Ms. Jackson has served as Counsel in civil law for the Department of Justice Canada. She is primarily responsible for leading complex civil proceedings on behalf of the federal government.

Ms. Jackson excels in racquet sport. She has been ranked No. 1 in Saskatchewan’s Provincial tennis, badminton and squash rankings and proudly represents Canada at international senior competitions. In 2013, she represented Canada at the ITF Seniors World Team Tennis Championships held in Turkey and earned the silver medal in badminton at the 2017 World Masters Games, a competition held every four years that brings together athletes from around the world.
