Coming in at number two in our countdown of Canadian highlights in 2015: Vasek Pospisil comes alive on the lawns of Wimbledon.

After winning the 2014 doubles title with Jack Sock, Vasek continued his success on grass in 2015 with a remarkable run to the quarterfinals – including an incredible comeback from two sets down to a tough opponent in Serbia’s Victor Troicki.

Not only did Pospisil fight his way to a thrilling win to make his first Grand Slam quarterfinal, he played another five-set match that day in doubles – for a grand total of five hours and 58 minutes on court.

Although Pospisil would ultimately fall to the the hometown hero and former Wimbledon champ Andy Murray in his quarterfinal, the energy and emotion in the 25-year-old’s victories along the way captivated Canadians and worldwide fans alike, reminding us once again that #AnythingIsPospisil. It’s safe to say we’re already looking forward to more moments like this…
