December is always a whirlwind month, isn’t it? It’s also the month where millions of Canadians make New Year’s resolutions. My post today provides you with 52 good reasons (one for each week of the year) to make 2016 your most active yet.  You’ll find the reasons you’d expect (yes, we all know that exercise is good for us) and maybe a few new compelling ones too. But why wait? Lace up your shoes or slip on your boots right now. There’s nothing like getting a jump start on something as important as taking steps to health and happiness.

52 reasons to make exercise a priority in 2016:

  2. Better health
  3. To slow the aging process
  4. To be a role model for others… like your kids
  5. To enjoy more quality time with friends and family
  6. Exercise makes us happier – it’s proven!
  7. To stay young in body, mind and spirit
  8. Exercise may help stave off dementia
  9. Be active to reduce your risk of heart disease – exercise is medicine!
  10. Get moving to your risk of many types of cancer
  11. Exercise is a natural stress buster
