Happy Thanksgiving Canada!
I hope that wherever you live, you’re enjoying some of the sunshine and/or warm temperatures we’re so grateful to have in the Toronto area this long weekend. Perfect tennis weather. If only my serve were on par!
It’s always a bittersweet stepping onto the courts at this time of year – dark evenings have already robbed us of evening playing time, and cold weather and community court closures are not long off.
All the more reason to grab your racquet and to get in a last few rallies or games before the outdoor season is over for the year – unless of course, you’re one of the hardy few who lace up their skates to enjoy a winter hit on ice.
Today is a perfect day to reflect upon and give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. Though family, friends, and health are top of my list, my fun on the courts this weekend is a reminder of how tennis brings us closer to those we enjoy it with, and can help us optimize our health. Today let’s celebrate the game we know and love for these reasons and more:
Whether you make it to the courts this weekend or not, take time to give thanks for the blessings in your life and to share them with others.
