As we all know, legendary tennis player (and personality) John McEnroe joined Milos Raonic’s team this month and everyone was excited to see what his influence would be on the big-serving Canadian’s game.
So far, it’s been going to plan.
Raonic has registered two solid wins on the grass courts of London’s Queen’s Club: a three-set victory over Aussie nemesis Nick Kyrgios and a tight service battle against Novak Djokovic’s Monte Carlo-conquerer Jiri Vesely.
The two tense wins not only had Raonic’s fans on their edge of their seats, but his new coach as well – and McEnroe’s reactions to the tense moments in Milos’s matches have been truly amazing.
It’s okay John, so were we.
(“You cannot be serious…”)
This is McEnroe’s “not bad kid, not bad” look.
Vesely was a tough second round opponent… guess that’s why you hire two coaches to help!
Milos wins, coach exhales.
…but what are you looking for, John?
