It was a big day for Canadians on the tour as Rebecca Marino, Vasek Pospisil and Felix Auger-Aliassime all reached their respective finals in Turkey and Hungary.

Marino, playing in her second tournament since coming out from retirement, reached her second consecutive final in Antalya, Turkey – a $15,000 event. Marino defeated Turkey’s Melis Sezer 6-1, 6-1 in the semi-finals. To date, Marino has not dropped a set in her 11 matches nor has she played a tiebreak.

With one title already under her belt this year, Marino will have her sights set on more silverware when she plays Switzerland’s Nina Stadler in the final on Sunday.

Also aiming for a second consecutive title this year is Vasek Pospisil, who advanced to the final in Budapest with a 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 win over Serbia’s Nikola Milojevic at the ATP Challenger event in Budapest. Pospisil will play 17-year-old Nicola Kuhn in the final, who upset top seed Marton Fucsovics in the other semi-final 6-3, 7-6(5).

And speaking of Kuhn, he and Felix Auger-Aliassime reached the double’s final after a dominant 6-4, 6-2 win over Godry/Nagy. This is Auger-Aliassime’s first ATP Challenger final in doubles – he won two singles titles in 2017, making him one of the youngest men in history to win a Challenger title.
