Daniel Nestor and Polish partner Lukasz Kubot have advanced into the quarter-finals of the Winston-Salem Open in North Carolina following a opening 6-3, 7-6(4) triumph over Austrian-Czech team Oliver Marach and Jiri Vesely on Tuesday.
The No. 1 seeds captured the win in one hour and 23 minutes, breaking their opponents twice and winning 75 per cent of their first serve points. For Nestor, it is his sixth win in a row after clinching the Masters 1000 crown in Cincinnati last week with Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin.
Next up for Nestor and Kubot will be the winner of the match between Spaniards Pablo Carreno Busta and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez versus American-French team Nicholas Monroe and Benoit Paire.
