Milos Raonic will not repeat as a Wimbledon semifinalist in 2015. Aussie Nick Kyrgios avenged his loss to the Canadian last year in the quarter-finals at the All-England Club by posting a 5-7, 7-5, 7-6(3), 6-3 victory to reach the fourth round.

This is Kyrgios’ first win over Raonic in three tries. He served 34 aces in the match compared to Raonic’s 18 and managed to break serve twice. Raonic was bothered late in the fourth set by his surgically repaired foot, but said he will be ready for Canada’s Davis Cup quarter-final against Belgium in a few weeks.

For his part, Vasek Pospisil is through to the third round in singles and doubles after a 6-3, 6-3, 7-6(4) win alongside American Jack Sock on Friday over Eric Butorac and Colin Fleming. Pospisil will play his third round singles match on Saturday against Brit James Ward.

In mixed doubles, the Canadian duo of Gabriela Dabrowski and Adil Shamasdin were defeated in the first round 6-4, 6-3 by the French team of Alize Cornet and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.
