After a dominant performance over Tommy Haas on Wednesday, Milos Raonic was back in action Thursday morning. The Canadian cruised into the quarter-finals of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic.

Raonic needed only thirty minutes to take the first set, firing three aces along the way. His opponent, on the other hand, struggled on his serve, notably committing a costly double fault late in the set, giving the Canadian a crucial break.

The Czech’s struggles continued in the second, with the Canadian taking another important break, this time at the beginning of the set. Raonic seemed in full control throughout the match, demonstrating his wide array of skills, including a number of well-executed drop shots and powerful service returns.

After an hour of play, Raonic emerged victorious in his third round match.

The Canadian now leads the head to head against Berdych, with five wins and only two losses. He will now face #NextGenATP star Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals on Friday.
