Raonic to play for St-Petersburg title

Milos Raonic advanced to his second final of the season on Saturday at the St.Petersburg Open, an ATP World Tour 250 event in Russia.

In the semifinals, Raonic was dominant on serve en route to defeating Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets 6-2, 7-6(2). The Canadian his 19 aces in the match and lost just points when his first serve went in.

Raonic has yet to lose a set this week in his first indoor tournament of the year. He’ll play Joao Sousa of Portugal for the title on Sunday. Sousa upset third-seeded Austrian Dominic Thiem in the semifinals.

This will be Raonic’s 15th career ATP final and his second this season. He finished as the runner up to Roger Federer in Brisbane in January.

Raonic has won both previous meetings against Sousa including earlier this year on clay at the Monte-Carlo Masters. The match will be shown live on Sportsnet ONE beginning at 9 am ET on Sunday.
