The 90-day countdown to the Parapan Am Games in Toronto this summer is on, with the best wheelchair tennis players from across North and South America deep in their preparations for one of the biggest tournaments of the year.
Taking place August 7-15, Canada will be sending two men and two women to the wheelchair tennis competition at the brand-new University of Toronto Scarborough Tennis Centre. Among the potential team members are Joel Dembe, Philippe Bedard, Eric Gilbert, Sarah Hunter, Mika Ishikawa, and Kirsten Sharp. The Canadian squad will be announced by early July.
With Canada considered a contender to medal at the Parapan Am Games this year against many other world-class athletes, it is shaping up to be an exciting tournament. Tickets to the event are available for just $25 a day and can be purchased here.
