The holiday season is different for everyone. Some tennis players celebrate Christmas at home with their loved ones – others enjoy their festivities across the world as they prepare for the 2019 season. And some spend it 40,000 feet in the sky as they make the long trek from their homes to the foreign destination they’ve chosen to start their season in!

Here’s a look at how your favourite players spent their Christmas holidays 🎄

After Genie made the trek from Honolulu (following a successful couple of wins at the Hawaii Open exhibition) to New Zealand for the ASB Classic in Auckland, she was one of the first to hit the big December 2-5 and tweeted out the start of the Merry Christmas text season.

After reaching the final of the Hawaii Open exhibition, Milos stayed in Honolulu a little longer and had this cute message to share with his fans across the world.

Bianca will be playing qualifying in Auckland later this week to kick off what is sure to be an exciting 2019 season. But first – Merry Christmas!

Denis and his squad celebrated the holidays (and the end of the off-season!) in style 🤣

Three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka had a nice holiday message for tennis fans featuring some custom-wrapped gifts.

Merry Christmas to you too, Kei! 🇯🇵

Sloane Stephens and her boyfriend – Toronto FC superstar Jozy Altidore – looked fully festive in this adorable holiday photo: 👇

Dreaming of a white Christmas? Not tennis power couple Dominic Thiem and Kristina Mladenovic! They spent their Christmas under the sun in Dubai ☀️

Former World No. 1 Victoria Azarenka speaks truths – those working over the holidays deserve all our respect!

Reigning Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber sums it up perfectly. Not everyone (tennis player or not!) gets to spend as much time with loved ones as they might like – but the holidays are the best time to connect, if we can, with those nearest and dearest to our hearts.
