Canada’s Parapan Am Games tennis team will be hitting the courts at the University of Toronto Scarborough Tennis Centre in just two weeks’ time with eyes on putting forth strong performances in front of a home crowd.
Named to the four-member team were Philippe Bedard, Joel Dembe, Yuka Chokyu, and Mika Ishikawa. Bedard and Dembe both competed at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and 2011 Guadalajara Parapan Am Games, while Chokyu is a three-time Paralympian. For Ishikawa, this will be her first multi-sport Games. Canada will be competing in both men’s and women’s singles and doubles, with chances for medals in all four events.
