Milos Raonic won his 22nd match of 2016 on Tuesday at the Mutua Madrid Open in Spain.
The 25-year-old Canadian overcame a second set hiccup to defeat Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-2 to reach the third round at the ATP Masters 1000 event.
Raonic improves to 22-4 on the season. He awaits the winner of the second round encounter between Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France and Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas.
Last year in Madrid, Raonic advanced to the quarter-finals before falling to eventual champion Andy Murray.
