Milos Raonic is through to the third round at Roland Garros with another straight-sets win, this time over Frenchman Adrian Mannarino 6-1, 7-6(0), 6-1 on Wednesday evening in Paris.
With seven aces, and 33 winners to 17 unforced errors, Raonic had little trouble advancing past Mannarino, who is currently ranked world No. 58. The victory gave Raonic his 50th win at a Grand Slam, his first coming at the Australian Open in 2011 en route to a fourth-round finish.

Next up for Raonic is No. 133-ranked Andrej Martin of Slovakia, who is making good use of his position as a lucky loser in the draw. Martin is competing in just his second Slam main draw.

Daniel Nestor and Gabriela Dabrowksi began their respective French Open campaigns on Wednesday as well, both picking up wins.
Nestor, seeded No. 14 with Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan, won 7-6(5), 6-2 over Spanish-Italian pair Inigo Cervantes and Paolo Lorenzi.
Playing with Spaniard Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez, Dabrowski was victorious 7-6(6), 7-6(2) in a close first-round duel versus Australian Daria Gavrilova and Ukrainian Elina Svitolina. The triumph was Dabrowski’s first at a Slam since the 2015 Australian Open.
