Today we are sending out our love to all the the amazing mothers out there, some of whom happen to be some of the most inspiring female athletes that we can’t get enough of on the tennis courts. With Mother’s Day upon us, we are shedding light on some amazing #TennisMoms and their beautiful children 😍
Meet Alexis Olympia, just look at those eyes!!
Daughter of the one and only Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian and most certainly a future GOAT. After an interview with Vogue Magazine, Williams claimed her love for the game as a want not as a need, because what’s better than being a mom?
“Knowing I’ve got this beautiful baby to go home to makes me feel like I don’t have to play another match. I don’t need the money or the titles or the prestige. I want them, but I don’t need them. That’s a different feeling for me.”
It's very weird for me to believe I have a child… a KID. I'm a mom. A real MOM ❤️❤️❤️

Williams reminds us that there is more to life than just tennis, but that doesn’t mean you have to quit the game! As she returns to the courts after giving birth, she gracefully displays the balance of love for her family and for the game. Being a mom is a full-time job and it is without a doubt it can be challenging, especially as a Grand Slam winner striving to make a comeback.
Keep up with Williams’s post-birth journey back to the courts on her documentary series of #BeingSerena.
On another note, does it ever cross your mind who our mothers go to when in need?
…Their mothers of course!
Tennis running through the family, Oracene Price, an American Tennis Coach also the mother of Venus and Serena Williams, is not the traditional tennis coach. Price and her former husband Richard Williams dedicated their time to help build a solid foundation of self-esteem and outside interests for their daughters.
Serena displayed her appreciation and affection towards her mother in a ‘Letter to Mom’ via Instagram.
We all #caughtfeels! 😭
Dear Mom, You are one of the strongest women I know. I was looking at my daughter (OMG, yes, I have a daughter 😳) and she has my arms and legs! My exact same strong, muscular, powerful, sensational arms and body. I don't know how I would react if she has to go through what I've gone through since I was a 15 year old and even to this day….
But Serena isn’t the only Grand Slam champ mother out there…
Victoria Azarenka, the first Belarusian woman to win a Grand Slam singles title, is also one of the #TennisMoms we’d like to draw attention to. Vika and her son, Leo, shared a special moment on the courts during a photo shoot, where he got to show mommy his skills!
Maybe there’s a play date with Olympia scheduled in the future? Now THAT’S a mixed doubles team we’d pay to see.
Love him. His sister wants to meet him asap

Aside from the moms partaking in the game, we mustn’t forget all the moms off the court! They are the ones who nurture us into the game with love and support.
A special thanks to all the mums out there, your actions don’t go unrecognized!
