What are the TPA Awards?
Coach of the Year.
The recipient of this honour must be a coach who has demonstrated the highest standards
in the coaching of players and/or teams, displayed not only through their accomplishments,
but in their character as well.
Pro of the Year.
This award is presented to the TPA Professional who has displayed the highest standard
of conduct and service to tennis both on and off the court.
Facility of the Year.
This award recognizes the tennis facility which demonstrates a commitment to the
promotion of tennis and is supportive of the TPA by hiring TPA active and certified
instructors, coaches, or club professionals.
Course Facilitator, Excellence
Award. Presented to a TPA Course Facilitator who has consistently
demonstrated excellence in the area of delivery of Certification courses in Canada.
Areas of consideration include: promotion of the TPA and the Certification program;
engagement in professional development opportunities; training and development of
future course facilitators; excellence in standard of delivery; and the upgrading
of Certification related materials/delivery; the number of Certification courses
delivered.
TPA Distinguished Service Award.
This award is presented to a TPA certified member (coach/professional/community
leader) who has provided significant leadership, excellence and dedication to Tennis
in Canada. This individual has contributed to the profession over an extended period
of time (minimum 10 years).
The Excellence awards highlight the outstanding dedication and accomplishments made
by those in the Canadian tennis development and coaching community.
