Seventeen-year-old Denis Shapovalov took home his third ITF Futures title of the season on Sunday at the $10,000 event in Orange, Florida.
The Canadian defeated Miomir Kecmanovic of Serbia 7-5, 2-6, 7-6(6) in the singles final. Shapovalov is now 34-6 in 2016 and has won eleven of his past twelve matches, including two titles. His current career-best ranking of no. 450 will improve once again.
Shapovalov also took home the doubles crown with his partner Peter Nagy of Hungary. He will play the Vero Beach Futures in Florida this week.

Sigouin reaches junior final in France
Benjamin Sigouin was a finalist at the Grade 1 ITF junior event in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, France over the weekend. Ranked no. 28 in the world, the 16-year-old beat three seeded players en route to the championship match where he fell 6-0, 6-2 to Geoffrey Blancaneaux of France.
Sigouin also captured the doubles title alongside Louis Wessels of Germany. He was sidelined for the first three months of the season because of an ankle injury.
