Milos Raonic came out on the losing end in his first career meeting against ATP Next Gen star Alexander Zverev on Friday at the Internazional BNL d’Italia.
The talented German defeated the 26-year-old Canadian 7-6(4), 6-1 in the Rome quarter-finals to continue his breakthrough season.

The first set was tight with both players trading breaks of serve on two occasions before Zverev came through in the tiebreak and proceeded to dominate the second frame.
Raonic will play the ATP event in Lyon this week before heading to Roland-Garros. the second Grand Slam event of the season in Paris which begins next Sunday.
