In memory and as a special tribute to Patricia Anquetil, a fund has been set up through Tennis Canada in support of its Women & Girls Tennis Initiatives.
Patricia was a self-taught tennis player that was known for her on-court passion, love of doubles and her willingness to rally as long as it took to win points.
As one of the founding members of Timberlane Tennis Club, Pat was a mentor to rising female tennis players at various clubs in Aurora. Pat was a Provincial Senior Mixed Doubles champion, who also coached tennis to her son who became a national champion and her daughter who won provincial titles.
Tennis gave Pat the freedom to have fun and show her competitive side – she often said how athletic and elegant the sport is, and how happy it makes her that girls now have more opportunities to learn this beautiful game at a young age.
Girls. Set. Match.
1 out of 3 girls drop out of sport during adolescence. Your gift will help encourage young girls to pick up a racquet, become life-long participants and reap the benefits of an active lifestyle and personal growth through sport.
Let’s keep girls in the game. #GirlsSetMatch

Fund Established By Family and Friends of Patricia. Donations in memory of Patricia Anquetil will be directed to women and girls in tennis.
A tax receipt will be issued.
