In memory and as a special tribute to Terry Borczon, a fund has been set up through Tennis Canada in support of its Women & Girls Tennis initiatives.

Terry’s lifelong love of tennis started in her teens. She played competitively in Ontario events and on the University of Toronto tennis team. Her passion for tennis continued as an instructor, a member of the Cricket Club and as an official. She shared her love for the sport with her husband Wally and children Erin and Ryan.

Terry’s other interests included playing squash and bridge at a competitive level and she enjoyed golf as well.

Terry’s love of education led her to work for the Toronto Catholic District School Board as teacher, consultant, Vice-Principal and Principal. After she left teaching, she made a great impact on students and colleagues through the Teacher Education Program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE).

Girls. Set. Match.

1 out of 3 girls drop out of sport during adolescence. Your gift will help encourage young girls to pick up a racquet, become life-long participants and reap the benefits of an active lifestyle and personal growth through sport.

Let’s keep girls in the game. #GirlsSetMatch
