It was a successful weekend for some of Canada’s top juniors picking up titles on the ITF Junior Circuit.

Fourteen-year-old Bianca Andreescu of Toronto swept the girls singles and doubles titles at Condor De Plata, a Grade 2 event held in La Paz, Bolivia. In the singles final, the tournament’s eleventh seed defeated Yuliana Monroy 6-0, 6-4. Andreescu also teamed up with her compatriot Isabelle Boulais to capture the doubles crown. The Canadian duo Jack Mingjie Lin and Benjamin Sigouin also won the boys doubles title. Andreescu was the U16 Orange Bowl champion in December.

In Mexico at the Grade 3 Queretaro Cup, fourteen year old Félix Auger-Aliassime of Montreal, a product of Tennis Canada’s full-time NTC program, captured his first career ITF junior title thanks to a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory over American Zeke Clark.

On the ITF pro circuit, Filip Peliwo (Vancouver, BC) won his second title in as many weeks, taking home the doubles crown at the Futures event in Tunisia. He also won the singles title at a Futures event in France.
