Arseneault and Vukovic capture U14 Rogers Junior Outdoor Nationals titles

Ontario’s Ariana Arseneault and Luka Vukovic of British Columbia were crowned champions of the U14 Rogers Outdoor Junior Nationals on Wednesday in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec.

Vukovic, seeded first in the boys championship flight, defeated Taha Baadi of Quebec 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 in the final. Ontario’s Liam Draxl finished third after defeating Quebec’s Sebastien Collard 6-3, 6-4 in the 3-4 playoff.

Baadi got his revenge on Vukovic in the boys doubles final as he and Alex-Antoine Marquis took home the trophy thanks to a 6-2, 6-3 win over Vukovic and Stefan Storch.

For her part, Arseneault took home the girls singles title after defeating Quebec’s Leylah Annie Fernandez 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in a tightly disputed championship match. Sasha Vagramov of BC finished third.

Arseneault also won the doubles title alongside Jada Bui.
