A few words from the tournament director
Alex Shields has been holding the title of tournament director for the U16 Indoor Rogers Junior Nationals for the past 5 years. He works hard to grow the event each year and thus, contributes to the growth of tennis across the country. For him, this tournament is important.
‘‘Young players can decide to not participate, but it’s important to compete against the best players in your own country; it’s excellent practice for higher caliber tournaments and a great opportunity to learn how to handle pressure and deal with your emotions on court,’’ said Shields.
