The final of the Montreal Women’s Interclub League is almost here! For the occasion, Tennis Canada will profile two star players in the biggest women’s doubles league in North America.

Despite her small stature (5’1”) and advancing age (67), Claudette Zizian continues to play tennis at a high level thanks to her speed, determination, and anticipation. She’s a level 2 player at Tennis 13 in Laval where she’s been a member for the past 35 years. Claudette not only trains hard on the court, but she also does 10km on the stationary bike at 60 RPM on the days she doesn’t play tennis. She’s also an avid golfer.

Zizian prefers playing indoors and considers her serve to be her best shot. “Tennis is a big part of my life, I play 3-4 times a week since I retired and it’s been my passion since I was 12,” she said.
