Taha Baadi and Natasha Sengphrachanh crowned champions of the U16 outdoor nationals

The championship matches were held on Friday at the U16 Rogers Outdoor Junior Nationals in Gatineau, Quebec.

The boys’ singles final was an all-Quebec match-up between Taha Baadi and Alex-Antoine Marquis. Baadi came from behind to post a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory.

Baadi and Marquis also teamed up take the boys’ doubles title thanks to a 7-6(4), 7-5 win over  Chih Chi Huang and Luka Vukovic of British Columbia in the final.

On the girls’ side, 14-year-old Natasha Sengphrachanh of Ontario, seeded fifth in the draw, was crowned champion after defeating Sasha Vagramov of B.C. 7-5, 6-4.  Meanwhile, Victorya Tabunshchyk and Daniela Voloh of Ontario topped Élisabeth Desmarais and Vagramov 6-1, 6-2 to take home the doubles title.
