Tennis just makes things better.

Since the rain keeps pouring in Paris, let’s look at some moments from pop culture history (…and future!) that were smart enough to include the wonderful sport of tennis.

Shia LaMac

It’s not out yet but we’re thinking Shia LaBeouf as a short-shorts wearing, temper-tantrum throwing John McEnroe will be almost as exciting as seeing what Johnny Mac brings to Milos’ game this season. JUST DO IT, y’know?

Battle of the Sexes goes Hollywood

Emma Stone and Steve Carell are set to play tennis legends Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs in the glammed up version of their epic Battle of the Sexes moment in 1973. If Emma Stone can pull off BJK’s shots as well as she does those 70s glasses, this is going to be good.

There are no “Ball Men”

Kramer wants to be a US Open ball boy. And why shouldn’t he?

“I may be old, but I’m spry.” ???

Thank you, Kristen Wiig

Forget dance offs, Kristen Wiig introduced us to the best new way to settle beef: on the tennis court. Just keep your eye on the ball… it can get REAL out there.

Banter >>> Serves

I’m pretty sure even Kirsten Dunst and Paul Bettany would agree that the best thing about this movie is the fact that it is set at Wimbledon. Are they even holding real racquets? And fish and chips before playing tennis? Maybe I should reconsider… this movie could possibly be the greatest comedy of all time.

The second season of Ballers is set to start airing this summer and we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for Genie Bouchard and Caroline Wozniacki. Nothing’s been confirmed, but the two definitely seemed to be having good times on set, so we’re hoping to see some sweet tennis scenes on the show.

Best RG highlight reel ever

What do we really need to say here? Clearly the greatest music video of all time. (And best cameos by Novak and Gael. ? )

All the late nights
