CANADA LOOKS TO DEFEND BILLIE JEAN KING CUP TITLE

Team Canada will look to become the first team since Czechia in 2016 to successfully defend its Billie Jean King Cup title. As the reigning champions, Canada will earn a first-round bye and will play their quarter-final match at Martin Carpena Arena on November 17.

Awaiting the winner of the Germany and Great Britain tie are Bianca Andreescu (Mississauga, ON), Gabriela Dabrowski (Ottawa, ON), Leylah Annie Fernandez (Laval, QC), Rebecca Marino (Vancouver, BC), and Marina Stakusic (Mississauga, ON), who will represent Team Canada at the event.

Leylah Fernandez pumps her fist and yells.
