Just a few days after our Canadian Fed Cup team put up a valiant effort against the Czech Republic, the No. 1 ranked team in the World, our juniors our looking to represent their country with pride.
From April 25 to 27, Canada will be competing against the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica in the ITF Junior Tennis Competitions being held at IGA Stadium in Montreal.
Led by Captain Martin Laurendeau, the Junior Davis Cup team will be made up of Marko Stakusic, Maxime St-Hilaire and Jaden Weekes. On the girl’s side, Mélodie Collard, Annabelle Xu and Marina Stakusic are set to represent Canada on the Junior Fed Cup squad, captained by Simon Larose.
The World Junior Tennis boys’ team will be comprised of Stewart Aronson, Aleksandar Mitric and Sasha Rozin alondside captain André Labelle. Heidi El Tabakh’s girls’ team will feature Victoria Mboko, Cadence Brace and Kayla Cross.
The event kicks off with the opening ceremonies on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. Matches are set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
