Before the coronavirus, it had been years since I heard the term ‘quarantine’ – and until two weeks ago, I had NEVER heard the term social distancing. But as we all do our part to contain the spread of COVID-19, that’s exactly what most of society is doing: staying at home and keeping their distance. With no tennis until at least June ( ), Canadian tennis players are still finding ways to keep busy.
Many players have been participating in the #StayAtHomeChallenge, which involves…well, I’ll let Vasek show you! (Great celebration at the end there too).
#StayAtHomeChallenge accepted @marcosbaghdatis. Let’s see what you got @felixtennis @denis_shapo @DjokerNole @JackSock @geniebouchard 😎

Another great activity looks to be outdoor, window-to-window table tennis. Who’s going down to get the ball if one of them misses though?
Love to see it 😄 https://t.co/e4dV5FSnpH

And, of course, we can’t forget about the ol’ home gym. Nice setup, Steven! Did you ever make it out of the house on your birthday?
Can I make any special request to leave my house on birthday tomorrow? 🤔🤪😷
Se concede algún permiso especial para salir en mi cumple años mañana? 🤔🤪😷#YoMeQuedoEnMiCasa #StayAtHome

The sun is still shining on Gaby’s outdoor home gym. What I wouldn’t give to be in Florida weather right now…
But even in these trying times, the grind doesn’t stop! Thanks for the reminder, Leylah.
And I think we can all agree that life without sports is . Can’t wait to see you both back on the court!
today was my one day off this week. i stayed inside on my couch the entire day. sometimes i changed spots on the couch to pretend i was doing something different. #socialdistancingupdates

FAA always knows the right thing to say, doesn’t he? Maturity beyond his years here.
On a more positive note, Bianca is donating a signed tennis racquet to assist in COVID-19 relief. A $25 donation = a chance to win!
Family/Friends/Fans! I’m donating a signed racquet to https://t.co/MrU92NFKcf in order to give back during this difficult time. YOU can donate for a chance to win with all proceeds going directly to the CDP’s COVID-19 Response Fund. Please donate if you can, $25 goes a long way!! pic.twitter.com/ORTIbS9mtz

We were all hoping for a different start to 2020. But staying positive and doing our part to stem the flow of COVID-19 is all we can do. Take a few minutes to watch Vasek below; we’ll get through this together.
Time to come together. #FlattenTheCurve #StaySafeStayHome pic.twitter.com/JejyHy820Q
