Shapovalov advances to the semifinals of the Drummondville National Bank Challenger
For the first time since Calgary in 1993, there were four Canadians playing in the quarter-finals of an ATP Challenger Tour event on Friday at the $50,000 Drummondville National Bank Challenger. Philip Bester (Vancouver, BC), Frank Dancevic (Niagara, Falls, ON), Peter Polansky (Thornhill, ON), and Denis Shapovalov (Richmond Hill, ON) all reached the final eight, and it was the youngest of the quartet who advanced to the semifinals.

Canadian quartet reach the final eight at the Drummondville National Bank Challenger
There will be four Canadians in the singles quarter-finals at the second edition of the $50,000 Drummondville National Bank Challenger. After Peter Polansky (Thornhill, ON) yesterday, Philip Bester (Vancouver, BC), Frank Dancevic (Niagara, Falls, ON), and Denis Shapovalov (Richmond Hill, ON) all booked their spots in the final eight on Thursday.
