Women in Leadership

Program Purpose

The WIC Career Advancement Program is designed for women tennis coaches who are looking to progress in their coaching careers and require structured career coaching to better understand, articulate, and position their unique value within the tennis industry.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Identify as a woman
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Be actively involved in tennis coaching year-round
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Be a current, active TPA member (in-training or certified CP2 and above)
• Demonstrate a desire to grow and contribute to the Canadian tennis industry, including recent engagement in Women in Coaching activities

Program Purpose

The Women in Coaching Subsidy Program is designed to offset TPA certification fees or professional development costs to make advancement along the coaching pathway more accessible.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Identify as a woman
• Age: 21+
• Be actively involved in tennis coaching year-round
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Be a current, active TPA member (in-training or certified CP2 and above)
• Demonstrate a desire to grow and contribute to the Canadian tennis industry

Subsidy Details

Amount: $1,000 CAD per applicant

Subsidies will be granted according to the overall strength of the application, demonstrated financial need, and the funds available. Because resources are limited, priority will be given to supporting a diverse group of coaches from across Canada in the most impactful way.

Application and Funding Process

You must apply before the start date of an eligible TPA course or event, unless otherwise specified. Applicants will be notified of their status within 1 month of submission.
