Our national wheelchair tennis team represents the pinnacle of Canadian tennis, bringing together our top athletes as they compete in prestigious wheelchair tennis events. From the Paralympic Games to ITF tournaments, the players embody the talent, resilience, and pride it takes to compete at the highest level.
6 Rob Shaw, who has competed in multiple Paralympic Games, achieved a career-high ranking of No. 6 in the quad singles division.
4 Thomas Venos won his 4th consecutive NCAA men's singles title for the University of Alabama in 2023 and was the first Canadian to graduate from a US university as part of a wheelchair tennis program.
2 Sarah Hunter is the highest-ranked Canadian wheelchair tennis player in history reaching No.2 in 2003. She also finished fourth in doubles at the 2004 Athens Paralympic Games.
4 Canadian teams have posted strong results through the years in World Group action at the World Team Cup. Most notably, the women's team has finished fourth on four different occasions.
