Girls Leadership Program

Build confidence with on and off court skills

The Girls Leadership Program is a multi-week experience that aims to empower girls ages 14-17. It develops their leadership skills and helps them create a network of peers as they begin their career path in tennis and work towards their tennis instructor certification with the Tennis Professionals Association (TPA).

Pilot Outcomes

The Girls Leadership Program pilot was successfully launched in British Columbia and Quebec in 2024, empowering 29 young women through leadership and tennis training. The impact on participants was undeniable:

100% said they would recommend the program to others.

100% reported having a positive and enjoyable experience.

100% felt an increase in self-confidence.

As a result of the pilot, 29 new young women tennis instructors were trained! 

 

All participants aged 16 and older earned their Tennis Canada Instructor Certification. Younger participants will receive their official certification as soon as they turn 16.
