It’s Friday, which means it’s tweets of the week! Let’s get you all caught up with what happened on social media this week following the Wimbledon fortnight.

You know you made it in sports when your face is tattooed to someone’s body. Genie Bouchard has hit this status.

This is insane. How did I get to a point to deserve such a dedicated fan that they would get a tattoo of me on their body? If you told 8 year old me playing my first tournament that I would one day affect someone so much that they would permanently alter their body in my honour… I would not have believed it. And to have the chance to meet him in person! Michael told me I inspire him to do many things, like to go to work everyday, or sometimes even just to get up in the morning. Hearing this makes my heart the happiest it could ever be. Part of me also thinks you’re completely psycho Michael 🤣🤣🤣 I hope you don’t regret this! And now you are forced to be a fan for life lmao

Congratulations to Canadian Gaby Dabrowski and doubles partner Xu Yifan on their incredible Wimbledon run that ended in the final! They were honoured for this at the annual Wimbledon Ball.

BREAKING NEWS… Daniel Nestor is a multi-sport athlete. The legend won a pretty cool prize at Wonderland thanks to his silky smooth jump shot.

We do question his prize’s basketball team allegiance. This is Toronto, not Philly.

Can you detect which one of these elderly tennis professionals is Milos Raonic?

Canadian player Carson Branstine is the zone! The 18 year old won five-straight matches to go from qualifiers to the semi-finals at the IT Gatineau.

Serena Williams looks absolutely stunning on the latest cover of Sports Illustrated, the Fashionable Fifty edition. The 23-time Grand Slam winner was also named the most fashionable in 2019.

The gentlemen’s final at Wimbledon between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer will go down as one of the best matches ever. A couple days after winning his 16th Grand Slam, Djokovic took time to reflect the last 12 months with this emotional post.

It was a match to remember forever. Match that had everything in it. Match that transcends our sport. I am eternally grateful to be part of it. Major respect to Roger for a titan fight. It has been quite a tennis journey for me in the last 12 months. Coming back from injury and trying to get to the level of tennis which would allow me to compete for Slams. Self belief, resilience, dedication and major support from my closest people in Life allowed me to be where I am today. I am blessed and I am aware of it. Wimbledon, it has been a great pleasure to make history and share the court with legend of our sport once more. I will keep on dreaming to still be part of these memorable moments in the future. By the way, grass tasted like never before 😃🙌😋 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bio je to meč za vek vekova. Blagosloven sam i veoma sam svestan toga.

If you missed it, Simona Halep captured her second Grand Slam and first Wimbledon title last weekend.

She’s truly a rock star in her home country of Romania. If you don’t believe it, watch the the video below.

Juan Martin Del Potro is working his way back from a devastating knee injury. During this hard time, it’s nice to see him have a furry companion to support him.

Earlier in the week it was #WorldEmojiDay! WTA players said the emoji they use the most.

That brings up the question, which emoji do you use constantly?

Is it just me, or does Stan Wawrinka have some serious hops?!
