The top seeds lived up to their billing at the Steve Stevens Masters Tennis Championships in Vancouver, BC in the final week of August.
Across the 45 draws, 25 were won by a No. 1 seed as only five players and teams seeded outside of the top two hoisted a trophy. A handful of players even got their hands on a pair of trophies throughout the event with a total of 11 competitors winning two titles.
Of those titlists, four managed to accomplish that feat over two age groups: Paul Ratchford won the 30+ and 35+ men’s doubles, Andreanne Martin in the 55+ women’s singles and 50+ women’s doubles, Erin Boynton won the 65+ women’s singles and 60+ women’s doubles, and Eileen Clark claimed the 75+ women’s singles and 80+ women’s doubles.

Over the week, a total of 573 players featured in Canada’s most prestigious Masters tennis event.
