Team Canada’s U14 boys and girls touch down in Prostejov, Czechia for the 2026 World Tennis Junior Team Finals, looking for the nation’s first-ever title at the event.
The girls were one-win away from the trophy in 2025, losing out to neighbours the United States. This year, Brielle Amey, Clara Vicol, and Joni Colburne look to build off their compatriots’ best-ever finish, with Eric Giguere serving as captain.
Canada’s girls are placed in Group B along with Brazil, Sweden, and two-time champions Ukraine.
Sergio Ibarra captains the boys’ squad, which features Ethan Levy, Ivan-Raphael N Mefire, and Liam Suh. Canada will compete in Group C against Colombia, Slovakia, and Indonesia, attempting to make it out of the group for the first time in three years, when the 2023 squad reached the final.

The event gets underway on Monday, with the girls opening against Brazil, while the boys meet Colombia in their first group-stage tie.
U18 Fischer Outdoor Junior Nationals Player List Set
While Toronto hosts the 2026 National Bank Open presented by Rogers, the city will also be host to the next generation of Canadian tennis as the U18 Fischer Outdoor Junior Nationals get underway at the Ontario Racquet Club on Tuesday.
Andy Tchinda Kepche looks to defend his boys’ singles title, after dropping just one set in last year’s tournament. The Quebecker competes against fellow National Tennis Centre Class of 2025-2026 members Caden Colburne and Antoine Généreux.
Colburne has the chance to double up this year, following the Nova Scotian’s U18 Indoor title in April.
The girls’ event will have a new U18 Outdoor champion as Lily Rochon is not part of the 2026 draw. NTC Class of 2025-2026 players Laurence Demers and Andrea Taylor will try to inherit the trophy from the Ontarian, looking for their first Fischer National singles title at an U16 event or older.

Four spots are still up for grabs in both the boys’ and girls’ singles draw as qualification concludes on Monday. Both qualifying top seeds Mark Cherepakha and Alyssa Kucherawy are still alive in their quest for a spot in the main draw.
