The final Fischer Junior Nationals of 2026 came to an end in Laval, QC on Thursday as Liam John Suh and Zimo Xiang hoisted the U14 Outdoors singles trophies.
Suh’s route to the boys' title was dominant as the British Columbian began the competition by conceding just six games in his opening two matches. The tightest set Suh had to get through was in round three, when he won the opener 7-5 against Nathan Huyuh before clinching the match 6-1 in the second.
The third seed cruised the rest of the way, capping off his run with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Ezekiel Zacharias Cheruvallath in the final.
Suh nearly doubled up in Laval as he and his partner Arthur Zhyznomirskyy reached the doubles final. The top seeds managed to force a decider after dropping the first set to Huyuh and Michael Berger, but the pair fell 10-5 in the match tiebreaker.

Girls’ singles champion Xiang was unplayable on the way to her third Fischer Nationals singles title. The Albertan dropped just 12 games and dished out nine bagels in her seven matches, including one in her 6-0, 6-3 victory over Elise Chen in the final. Xiang added to her U14 Indoors and U12 Outdoors title with the triumph.
In doubles, top seeds Amelia Mishelle Simutin and Karina Swaminath were crowned champions. The Ontarians defeated Xiang and Xinyi Kwan in three sets to secure their place in the final, before beating Olivia Laberge and Yasmine Souissi 6-2, 6-3 for the title.
