Université Laval and University of British Columbia added another U Sports Tennis Championships banner to their accounts at IGA Stadium in Montreal, QC.

The Rouge et Or of Laval successfully defended their first-ever title from 2024-25, starting off their campaign with a sweep against Dalhousie University. Université Laval conceded just three games across the seven matches with Stéphania Gilbert and Alexandra Quinn earning double bagels in singles play.

University of British Columbia reached their maiden U Sports women’s final after defeating University of Toronto 5-2. The Toronto Varsity Blues went on to win bronze against Dalhousie University.

For the gold medal, Université Laval secured the doubles point, winning their two sets in a tiebreaker. The Rouge et Or won three of four completed singles matches, all in straight sets, as Laval sealed the tie 4-1 to win back-to-back women’s titles.
