This week on Match Point Canada, Ben and Mike mix things up by inviting a rare non-tennis guest on the podcast.

As both hosts are big music fans, it was a pleasure to welcome Paul Langlois, guitarist from the award-winning Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip, to talk about his love of the sport. Paul is a huge tennis fan and was happy to share where his interest in tennis comes from along with the parallels between being an athlete and a musician.

Later in the episode, Ben and Mike discuss a resurgence for Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime, who successfully defended his title in Basel this past week. With the win, Felix stays in the Top 20 and undoubtedly boosted his confidence with the victory after a challenging season to-date.

Other topics of discussion this week include the WTA Finals in Cancun which features Canada’s Gaby Dabrowski in doubles. Marina Stakusic, our guest last week, also continued her strong play at the ITF level by winning the 60k Tevlin Challenger in Toronto!

Listen to our newest episode of Match Point Canada, available on Megaphone, Apple Podcasts, or Spotify below. Enjoy!
