Team Canada celebrates on-court behind the trophy with Billie Jean King.

This week on Match Point Canada, Ben and Mike recap a historic victory for Team Canada at the Billie Jean King Cup!  

After defeating Spain and Poland to reach the semifinals, the squad upset the powerhouse team from Czechia before beating Italy in the finals.   

Arash Madani covered the event for the televised broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet and joined the hosts to analyze how it all went down. After covering the national team for many years, Arash discussed how far things have come for Tennis in Canada, the leadership of Leylah Annie Fernandez, a breakout performance from Marina Stakusic and the overall depth and character of the entire group including Gaby Dabrowski, Genie Bouchard and Rebecca Marino.

Later in the episode, Ben and Mike preview the Nitto ATP Finals happening right now in Turin. Both are expecting Novak Djokovic to be very difficult to beat with possible challenges coming from National Bank open champion Jannik Sinner as well as the recently hot Andrey Rublev.
