Tennis Canada today confirmed that Gabriel Diallo (Montreal, QC) will miss the upcoming Davis Cup Qualifiers 2nd Round tie between Team Canada presented by IGA and France in Quebec City as he continues to recover from a leg injury sustained at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in August.

Keegan Rice (Regina, SK) has been added to the roster and will join Félix Auger-Aliassime (Montreal, QC), Liam Draxl (Newmarket, ON), and Duncan Chan (Markham, ON).

“I’m of course disappointed and sad that I won’t be able to compete with the team in Quebec City,” said Diallo. “The Davis Cup means so much to me, and it’s one of the events I look forward to most each year. While I continue to rehab my leg injury, I do plan to make my way to Quebec City to cheer on the team. I hope the fans will be ready to support us as loudly as possible and help us get back to the Finals.”

France has also made a roster change, with Arthur Fils withdrawing earlier this month. Luca Van Assche and Benjamin Bonzi have been added, joining Arthur Rinderknech, Quentin Halys and Pierre-Hugues Herbert.

Action begins on Friday, September 18 at 5 p.m. ET, and concludes on Saturday, September 19 at 2 p.m.
