Edmonton Tennis Community Hosts Epic TryTennis Event: TENNISfest 2024

On June 22nd, the Edmonton Tennis Community welcomed over 500 kids and adults to the exciting world of tennis at the Edmonton Expo Centre. Seven clubs were at the event as partners, plus three equipment suppliers and seven sponsors.

First Set: Tennis BC’s Rachel Gould Goes on a Grand Tour—Just in Time for Tennis Month in Canada!

As a course facilitator, Rachel had already planned to run an instructors’ course in the Kootenays—and from there, the opportunity to take First Set on the road went from an idea to a reality. For 14 days, Rachel was on the road for Tennis BC, sharing her tennis wisdom, showing clubs how they can integrate First Set, and building connections with clubs, players, and coaches as she went.

Rogers First Set Provincial Try Event

The Sussex Community Tennis Club played host to the Rogers First Set Provincial Try event for kids in the local community. This event had participation from players of all ages and abilities as they explored how easy tennis can be when we adapt the way they learn and play.

Rogers First Set Try events June 15, 22 and 29 and Open House on June 15

Rogers First Set Try events take place in Yellowknife, and are a great way to introduce kids in the community to tennis. Our annual open house was an opportunity to get together, meet new players, and meet our Club Pro!

Through the FillActive events, Tennis Québec hopes to inspire a new generation of active young women by showing them that sports are fun and help build key skills like self-confidence, perseverance and team spirit.

Keegan Rice Achieves his First Win in a Men’s ITF

Saskatchewan native, Keegan Rice wins his first match in a Men’s ITF event in Romania. Rice defeated Czech player Filip Apltauer in three sets, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6, before losing in the next round to Michiel Da Krom of the Netherlands.
