Biography

Ann Barclay was a finalist in the Canadian Open Ladies Singles in 1960 (losing to Donna Floyd) and 1961 (losing to Britain’s Ann Haydon).

She collected both the singles and doubles titles (with partner, Louise Brown) at the 1962 event (now Rogers Cup) and defended her singles championship in 1963. Barclay defeated Hall of Famer Louise Brown in both singles finals.

Barclay competed on the Canadian Fed Cup team in 1963 in both singles and doubles, with partner Louise Brown. Canada lost 3-0 in the first round to a strong English team.
