Chantal Machabée was appointed Vice-President, Hockey Communications in January 2022 with the Montreal Canadiens.
For over 32 years, Chantal was a member of the Réseau des sports (RDS) team as a sports journalist, covering all Quebec sports, including the daily activities of the Montreal Canadiens.
A native of Laval, Chantal Machabée is renowned in the Quebec media landscape for the professionalism and dedication she has always demonstrated. A true pioneer in the sports broadcasting industry, in 1989 she became the first woman to host a daily sports newscast in Quebec when she hosted the inaugural episode of Sports 30 on RDS - the first program broadcast on the network. Since then, she has been a source of inspiration for countless journalists in the media world.
The UNMATCHED Conference presented by Tennis Canada and National Bank provides a space for established and emerging leaders of all genders, from within, and outside of sport to be challenged and inspired to make equity a priority and action long-term change within their communities.
