Dr. Janelle Joseph
Dr. Janelle Joseph is the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Racial Justice, Health, and Sport and Associate Professor at Brock University in the Department of Health Sciences and Department of Sport Management. Dr. Joseph is Founder and Director of the Indigeneity, Diaspora, Equity, and Anti-racism in Sport (IDEAS) Research Lab and author/co-editor of three books, 60 articles and book chapters, and over 100 research presentations related to the moving body and social justice. Dr Joseph was elected as a member of the Royal Society of Canada College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists and named as one of Canada’s Top 100 Women to Watch. Dr Joseph’s current research focuses on Black women and girls’ healthy physical activity.
